Magnesium Ethoxide

Solid magnesium ethoxide is used as a catalyst support for olefin polymerization, in the polymerization of polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, and low-density polyethylene; it is also a raw material for precision ceramics.

Solid magnesium ethylate is mainly used in organic synthesis. It is an important reagent for synthesizing organic compounds, commonly used in catalytic reduction reactions, carboxylic acid esterification reactions, and alcohol esterification reactions. Magnesium ethoxide can act as a strong base in various organic synthesis reactions, such as Grignard reactions and Aronnius reactions.

Solid magnesium ethanolate is packaged in cardboard drums and steel drums.

Magnesium ethoxide powder is highly reactive and can react with water and oxygen in the air. When handling magnesium ethylate powder, wear protective eyewear and chemical protective gloves to avoid skin and eye contact with the compound. Avoid generating flammable gases during handling, and if necessary, handle in a well-ventilated area. Additionally, magnesium ethoxide should be stored in a dry, sealed place away from sources of ignition.
