Dimethyl sulphoxide is widely used as a solvent and reaction reagent, particularly in acrylonitrile polymerization as a processing solvent and spinning solvent, in polyurethane synthesis and spinning solvent, in the synthesis of polyamides, polyimides, and polysulfone resins, as well as in the extraction of aromatics and butadiene, and in the synthesis of chlorofluoroaniline.

DIMETHYLIS SULFOXIDUM itself has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, diuretic, and sedative effects. In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be directly used as a raw material and carrier for certain drugs. Often called a "panacea," it is frequently added to drugs as an active ingredient for analgesics.

Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is packaged in plastic drums, steel drums, IBC drums, and ISO Tanks.

DMSO is a strongly aprotic polar compound, therefore it is neither acidic nor alkaline. It is a colorless liquid at room temperature and is hygroscopic. It is almost odorless with a bitter taste. It is soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, ether, benzene, and chloroform. This product is weakly alkaline, unstable in acids, and forms salts in the presence of strong acids. It decomposes at high temperatures and reacts violently with chlorine, burning in air with a pale blue flame.

DMSO should be stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Store in a cool, ventilated and dry place, and transport and store in accordance with the regulations for flammable and toxic substances.
