Glyphosate

Glyphosate is a non-selective, residue-free, non-selective herbicide highly effective against perennial rooted weeds and widely used in rubber, mulberry, tea, orchards, and sugarcane fields.

It primarily inhibits enolpyruvylshikimate phosphate synthase in plants, thereby inhibiting the conversion of shikimate to phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan, disrupting protein synthesis and leading to plant death. Glyphosate is absorbed through the stems and leaves and translocated to all parts of the plant, controlling more than 40 families of monocots and dicots, annuals and perennials, herbs and shrubs. Once in the soil, glyphosate quickly binds to metal ions such as iron and aluminum, losing its activity, and has no adverse effects on latent seeds or soil microorganisms.

Glyphosate is packaged in cardboard drums.

1. Glyphosate is a non-selective herbicide; avoid contaminating crops during application to prevent phytotoxicity.

2. For perennial noxious weeds, such as Imperata cylindrica and Cyperus rotundus, a second application one month after the first is necessary for optimal control.

3. Adding a suitable amount of diesel fuel or laundry detergent to the herbicide solution can improve its efficacy.

4. Effective application is best on sunny, hot days. If rain occurs within 4-6 hours after spraying, re-spray.

5. Glyphosate is acidic; use plastic containers for storage and use whenever possible.

6. Spraying equipment must be thoroughly cleaned repeatedly.

7. Damaged packaging may cause caking under high humidity, and crystallization may occur during low-temperature storage. Shake the container thoroughly before use to dissolve any crystals and ensure efficacy. 8. This is a systemic, non-selective herbicide. When applying, take care to prevent the spray from drifting onto non-target plants and causing phytotoxicity.

9. It easily complexes with calcium, magnesium, and aluminum ions, losing its activity. Use clean, soft water to dilute the pesticide. Adding muddy or dirty water will reduce its effectiveness.

10. Do not mow, graze, or till the land for 3 days after application.
