As a co-stabilizer in calcium/zinc hydroxyl salt stabilization systems, it is used in the manufacture of mineral water bottles, oil drums, transparent sheets, and transparent films. It is also used as an auxiliary heat stabilizer for organic PVC, primarily in conjunction with composite calcium-zinc/composite rare earth heat stabilizers, to inhibit initial coloring, prevent "zinc burning," and improve the thermal stability of PVC products.
